FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN FRANCISCO MAYOR LONDON BREED ADDRESSES VIDEO INVOLVING MASK MANDATE PROTOCOL

SAN FRANCISCO, CA- September 16, 2021 A video involving San Francisco Mayor London Breed surfaced on the internet of her singing and dancing in between her meal without a mask at a Tony! Toni! Tone! concert September 15, 2021.

Mayor London Breed attended the JAZZ@theEDGE Festival at the Black Cat Nightclub where all guests had to show proof of vaccination before entering the venue to see two of the original three group members of Tony! Toni! Tone! performed live in concert .

The edited video shows Breed in the middle of her meal where she got excited while hearing the band play and stood up to dance and ended before she reached for her mask to put it on prior to continuing her meal.

Breed understands the importance of wearing a mask and is aware of the San Francisco Federal mask mandate and public health order which states ““Face Covering Requirements” means the requirement to wear a Well-Fitted Mask (i) as required by federal or state law including, but not limited to, California Department of Public Health guidance and Cal/OSHA’s rules and regulations; (ii) in indoor common areas of homeless shelters, emergency shelters, and cooling centers, except while sleeping, showering, engaged in personal hygiene that requires removal of face coverings, or actively eating or drinking.”

During this press release Mayor London will clarify the confusion of the video as well as reiterate the mask mandate requirements on September 23, 2021, 11:45am at the City Hall 1 Dr Carlton B Goodlett Pl, San Francisco, CA 94102.
